You need more than just anti-virus, you need anti-spyware and a good firewall. see below.

I use all of the following Free software with Windows XP SP2 and Internet Explorer with MSN toolbar and the pop-up blocker turned on and have never had a single problem with my computer sense Microsoft came out with SP2. The best way to avoid getting any Malware (virus, Trojan's, spyware, etc) is to practice safe computing. Microsoft and many others have countless articles on the subject of safe computing. (something I think should be taught in schools)

NOD 32 is the best around it has got a program colled the nod antivirus fix. Because the program has a 30 day trial, hte fix program will increase the number of days by god knows how many, I did the math and it came up about 300 years (not 30, 3 hundred!) Download NOD 32 from softpedia and then have a search around for the fix. If no luck, keep the install.exe and install it again after the 30 days and you'll have another 30 days free. Bit tedious. If not then AGV will do fine, though not as good

hi, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.

i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

AVG antivirus free version is usable and free, although not the best, if ya want best...you are better to buy something like bitdefender, i have that on my laptop and its really very very good
