As much as I would have loved to see India excel in Football, unfortunately not even in our life times that they would even qualify to the WC Finals of 32 teams (even 64 if expanded) let alone winning it. It is a fact that Indians lost this sport since Cricket became their obsession, killing Hockey and Football. You can ask this question every 4 years, 40 years, 400 years - my answer will remain the same, unless we change the attitude of sports in India.

INDIA will not probably qualify to the FIFA World Cup finals. other teams in the world are far more superior than INDIA.

In 600 years maybe that is if the country goes in the direction in becoming a very developed and modernized nation and stays independent. So I guess if there would be no political and economical problem there would be a good chance.
