The black box is very heavy reinforced metal.
No plane could take off if made the same way and out of the same amount of metal.
Besides the people inside would still splatter on impact inside the box. or be torn apart by the seat belts.
Sorry to be so graphic but that is what would happen if they ever could get a plane that heavy to fly.
The plane might survive but the people inside could not survive the g force.

It doesn't survive "just" because of what it is made of. There are other reasons like, the size & shape of the blackbox and more importantly, where it is placed on the plane. I think you would find that a lot of seats in plane crashes come out ok as well, so should we try making planes out of foam & blue/grey striped material?

Good Question, But I Think The Material Might Be Too Heavy For Flight...

Because it won't fly like it is and it would be too expense to make a plane that could aerodynmically flying using the materials and designs that make the black box. Beside just because you make the plane itself invincible (and even a black box is not invincible) the blunt trauma caused by the force a crash would kill all the passengers on the plane anyway.

It is a myth that the "black box" never gets destroyed in a crash. Its probably so heavy that making the plane of "that stuff" would cause the plane to be so heavy it couldn't fly.

do you know how many people have asked that question? the simple answer is.. the material is too dense and heavy, it would effect the flight of the place.
planes are made of a lightweight but durable material.

you would think with that knowledge about the black box that they would do just that so that if a plane did crash there would be no loss of life ...It kinda makes you wonder if they want people to die ,huh? It says alot about people who are in power and have the means to fix certain situations...doesn't it ....

Then the news wouldn't have much to do. Also the other countries would come up with the same idea and we couldn't shoot them out of the air if they came to attack us.
