How long after sex is the best time to do a pregnancy test if like me im on the pill and take 3 packets in a row and then a 7 day break. Im still not due a period for another 2 weeks. I know the chances of me being pregnant are very small but i have alot of symptoms. I have taken 2 tests which both came out negative.

Is it possible then that the reason it didnt show up in my second test if i am pregnant was because the hormone doesnt show up until you are due for "time of the month"?

if you get something like an ept, it should tell you a few days before your period is supposed to start. use your first pee of the morning, after you have several hours of sleep. this urine has the most HCG hormone in it then. good luck.

If you took the pill as you were supposed to There is a 99% chance you are NOT pregnant. The pill is 99% effective! The pill can cause you to gain weight, feel nauseous, have tender breasts, and even skip a period or two when you first go on them. If these feelings are bothersome the dosage might be too strong for you - especially if you are gaining weight already and you have just started them - talk to your doctor about the strength/dosage you are on.
If you are still worried - you should not take a test until at least 1-2 days after you have missed the start of your period. The pregnancy Hormone sometimes does not build up enough in some women before this to even show up. In a select few women it won't even show up until a couple of weeks after a missed period. Best thing - Call your Doc for free advice over the phone or go visit a clinic and discuss it with them.

Probably recommend a minimum of 14 days after the last time you had sex then testing at 3-4 day intervals after that. If your tests are still coming up negative you really should see a dr for a blood hormone level just to make sure everything is OK.

If you are during a urine test at home I would wait until right after your period is due to start. Most advertise that they can give results a few days before this though. However, just to be safe I would wait. You'll get the most accurate result this way because the hormone slowly builds in your system. Conception may not actually even occur until a few days after intercourse.
A blood test at a doctor's office can give you an even faster result. Call the doctor if you want to go this route.

They say 14 days so more than likely after your missed period. I agree with what someone else said quit wasting your money on pregnancy tests if you keep coming up with negatives then you might not be pregnant but if you think they are false you might need to go to an OBGYN to see what is exactly wrong. Your body might just be reacting to the hormones in the pill.

Most ladies have a 28 day cycle. You would conceive on day 12-14 and then show up on a HPT on day 28 (the day you miss your period).
If you get a negative test a week after your missed period the go to see the gp and ask for a blood test.

at the moment it would b 2 soon for the test 2 show up. there wouldnt be enough hormone level. if i was u i would just wait till your period is due n c if u come on, if u dont either do another or do 1 at the doctors. in the meantime, dont worry about it cos that can delay your period!!...........good luck

Stop wasting your money on these tests. The pill works because it simulates pregnancy. You are feeling exactly as you are supposed to on it and if the symptoms bother you maybe you need a lower dosage.
But you don't need a pregnancy test.

Your best bet is see a doctor and get a blood test. A blood test is accurate. Anything can be wrong with the store bought test. Good Luck
