I bought a 512mb flash drive, it was ok, then i formatted it and it became 246mb. What can i do?

Some Flash drive formatting software has a feature to partition the Flash drive in to 2 or more sections. You can use one as a private partition (password protected) and other half can be used as a public partition. If accidentally you happen to do this, you can try to reformat again or remove those limitations from the software that you used for this task. Read the manual of the drive.

First don't worry it's ok
i have this EXPERIENCE last month

u know,your flsah's program have some option try to change it

and Defaults your settings

then formated again i'll promise your flash memory become like first that u buy

i guess you have unintentionally hide the half using the software? are you using any application for formatting for the flash drive?
try to format manually.

mayb u hidden the other partition of the space. try this, go to my computer. then double-click your flash drive. then on the menu above,( file, edit, view etc. ) select tools and click at folder option. then select view than choose SHOW HIDDEN FOLDER. I hope this will help u. good luck!

u might have formatted it with a partition
