I feel like that a lot.

Things that help:

Distractions. Examples:

Exercising (jogging, running, swimming, weightlifting, hiking...)

Religious pursuits (Christian, Wicca, Buddhism any kind.

Shamanism especially.)

Taking up projects, (Setting up a web page. Making flash animations, learning how to program. Fighting the tyrannical government that we have set up now.)

Going out and having some fun (Clubs, Parties, Hanging out, Dinner)

Drugs. (Marijuana, DXM, Lsd, Mushrooms. These won't work for everyone and might make it worse. It's up to you if it's worth the risks involved.)

Friendships (Go out and randomly make new friends. One thing pot is great for.)

Smoke a cigarette (mmmmm Addiction is so horrible, but the most beautiful human weakness we have.)

Read good books (Finishing the book may make you feel emotionally unstable. At least it does for me. Same goes for movies.)

Artsie activities. (Painting, Drawing, Playing guitar/instruments, write a paper, write a novel, write a short story. Photography.)

Take up a sport. (extreme or benign)

Find your soul mate. (I think a lack of a love life is a large cause in my own problem.)

Hope this helps a little.

Just keep on keeping on.

Yes, I guess everyone does sometime or the other. This is a state of mind and can be controlled. The best way is to have well defined goals in life (remember, goals can change with time) and constantly work towards achieving them. The other important dimension is relationship - they provide you the required emotional support - it can come from good friends, spouse, parents or other relative. What is important here that how well you connect with your folks - and this also required to be worked upon.

In addition take up hobbies and chase them or may start practicing yoga and/or meditation.

I think we all feel that way at times... some more than others. Some feel things more "deeply" and the events (or non-events) of life have a dramatic impact. It's probably what keeps most searching for the answer to the old question, "What is the meaning of life?". Take heart... you are not alone.

discomfort is an unusual aspect. Burning a finger or stubbing a toe can damage all nighttime, yet after I shattered my wrist into 20 products (bones protruding), i did not sense something in any respect. i wager i became basically into "operation mode," and that i realized that discomfort can be a disability in getting necessary clinical help. i do no longer imagine the worst actual discomfort can come on the breaking point of the psychological discomfort a lot of human beings have suffered. Merry Christmas, and each and each of the superb to you and your household. And be careful!

I have only had that void filled once in my life. My void can be filled by someone loving me unconditionally, unfortunately I don't have it at this time.

It's something everyone will go through several times in their life at one point or another. Maturation and experience of life is probably best at easing the problem.

I had a dream I dreamed I was walking down the street and said to myself, "Is this all there is?" I have come to embrace the feeling of emptiness that so often overwhelms me. It's our awareness of feelings like this that makes us human.
