Probably they think the same that 'Everyone' wants to be in fashion and if they are not they try to be one like 'Everyone' else is.

They want to fit in and have what everyone is wearing. Remember the bell bottoms pants that made the return or the ponchos.

personally i dont. i buy things that i like, and i dont buy things i dont, no matter what the trend is, and i make alot of my own clothes....designing them and sewing them. so i m just like whatever when it comes to whats "in" this season.
