Yes, they are. There are hair care and skin care lines just for men now, men spas, etc. There are even male pedicure days at nail salons. I don't know what happened to the rough, more manly look. I dated a guy that was obsessed with shoe shopping and having his hair highlighted constantly. That got old. I prefer men to be men, like you (judging by your picture). I may be in the minority though!

Rough and ready is on its way back. The uber sexual is the new man. Men are men again. We go out and kill our food with a rough beard and messy hair, apparently. Anyway that's what we are this week, sure it will change again. Enjoy it while you can

The sexiest men on earth combine the two with style - I buy my boyfriend boys' smellies and he uses them all the time. He is quite rugged looking and takes more time than I do to get ready, but I honestly think he has an air of manliness which is enhanced by looking after himself. xx

Yeah they are. You have to be really good looking to successfully pull off the rough and ready look. But if you can manage it, it's very effective. Give 'em a break: not everyone's as cute as you are.

The rough and ready look is still with us - it's just a cosmetically enhanced rough and ready look! Like George Michael and his 'designer stubble' and hair wax to mess your hair up again after you brushed it!

It still takes a lot of product and time to get that rough and ready look, but it's starting to get ridiculous. I saw an advert on TV the other day for a gel called "Get out of Bed"... a gel that makes your hair look as if you've just got out of bed?! Why not just... get out of bed?!

There's something seriously wrong. I can't believe some knackers will spend fifteen quid on a tub of wax and take best part of an hour to get the 'messed up' look?!!?!?!?!?
A proper bloke should be clean, well dressed, and smell fresh. Anything else is for fairies.

they definitely are spending more time on their looks in fact i think it takes alot of hair gel and the right sort of trimming for the rough and ready look these days!!!!

I like men who take care of ther apperance, who wants to jump into bed with a man who doesnt bath for days and has a beard and greasy hair.....i no for sure i wouldnt.....Wish more men would take care of themselfs!
