when we want to weld a machine,for example a grinding machine arc welding, we must disconnect electric power. Why?please explain exactly.

Arc welding is an electrical welding process. The power to the machine must be disconnected because any electrical fields would interfere with the fields created by the welding process.

To avoid sneak paths by which the welding current could get into the power lines, or power line current get into the welding circuit. This applies only to electric welding; if you use gas, it doesn't matter.
