Yes and no!
Yes in the sense that you can be influenced by societal projection of what each individual should be like, should like/dislike, etc. But then an individual person tends to react more to peer group pressure than anything else anyway! (Unless a total individualist and there aren't many of them)
No in teh sense that, regardless what class you consider yourself to be in, you still remain an individual and your ideas and values guide you to do what you believe is for the best of yourself/family/society at large.
You say that the people who make the rules are the rich but you know i visit working class areas a lot! In fact one of my closest pal lives in one of them, and rules people abide to there are those of their own people, for instance the law says it is criminal to steal/cause a niusance etc. When gans of thugs do both ... People living in teh area do not contact the police. They know that if they did ... They'd soon end up with boarded up windows and their kids would get attacked! So in this sense ... There is a double set of law and that of the street prevails over the country's law.
Society doesn't construct a person, for instance your father and mother made you. Your primary education at home with mum and dad, borthers and sisters, then later on at school reinforced your beliefs and values. Why you elected to follow your peer group in their foot steps or whether or not you had the strength to say no i dno't want to do that it's wrong or yes i am going to do this this because it's right, i know within myself that it is the right thing to do depends ... Not on society but yourself!

Well society can really shape your thought and believe sometimes. Even it was way beyond your own will, the rules and reulation is being set straight out for ya, whether you like it or not you still need to bow down to it. But we are hardly just human and there is no right saying of right or wrong.

Seems you are not happy the way things are going and this is the case with many. I also sent my question once in capital letters and someone said it is RUDE to use caps. Another, said there is spelling mistake in my text.
What is all one can make from this. Everybody has their on set standards. It is said that the beauty lies in the person who views it, the one with negaitve set up may say the glass is half empty, but another with a postive approach say the glass is half full.
Whatever and wherever, all human beings with whatever their nurther and style, have human values embedded with them and think of the HALF NAKED FAKHIR IN THE INDIAN HISTORY - THE MAHATMA GANDHI.

No, I believe that people have more influence on society than does society on people. Because when you think about it, it's PEOPLE that make up the society, not the other way around. People naturally want to belong and comform.

The answer to this i believe is as follow
I do my things ..
You do yours,,,
I am not in this world to live up to your expectations.
You are not in this world to live up to mine.
you are you, and i am i
and if by chance we meet each other
its beautiful,
or lets say good bye
with this type of thinking you will be able to do what you want and not what others want you to do ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,being a man of lower class is just your complex which is hindering your thought process

Not me I stay in my own bubble and do not subject myself to that kind of behavior. I much rather stay in the house with all my pets watch some TV, read. play guitar and avoid all those people who think they are better than me.

I don't know. I have never been lower class. I have met many wealthy people that were though. Also, I have met people who were broke, but not short on class.
