first, get rid of everything mankind made thats used to harm another human.
second, let weed flow to everone who wants it.

Put religions and politics back in their place, as something for people to choose whether they want to believe in them or not and make it a capital crime when someone elects to take either by the letter and commit terrorist acts! Simply because such teaching said it was OK
Teach children from a young age of the disastrous affects of wars, teach them that we are all the same people (Earth people) all part of our unique world that we need to cherish and nurture.
Where there was war/strife, unite the people from both sides, to let them see for themslves that they are the same, nurture their desire to get to know one another and rebuild their countries together.

Some kind of global unity needs to take place first of all. That would mean the diplomatic resolution of hostilities between nations and the destruction/dismantling of terrorist organizations.
Second, nations that have extreme poverty need to be supplied with medicines and food, while everywhere else poverty needs to be eliminated altogether.
And third, the problem of religious disunity needs to be solved. Unless somekind of culture of tolerance is created, there will never be world stability.

1. All religions are equally valid. No one is right, no one is wrong. It doesn't matter what you believe in or that you believe in anything, just that you remain tolerant of others and open to new ideas.
2. I am responsible for taking care of me; you are responsible for taking care of you. There is a difference between loving your neighbor/being of service to your fellows, and enabling people to keep lousy behaviors.
3. Material things will not make you feel good or take away pain. This includes houses, cars, sex, money, children, careers, drugs/alcohol. If you can't feel whole without things, you'll never be whole with them.

A better distribution of wealth.
Re-establish the family as the basic unit of society.
