I haven't had mine yet, but there was something on the news about it last night, and I would have never imagined that something could be so clear, how was the experience for you?

There are studies done and still going that want to ban unneccessary ultrasounds, I personally think it is cool, but they say that if you expose your child to more scans than neccessary it can lead to the child becoming a slower learner, like speech development and behind it's peers in learning.
They apparently are especially trying to ban this in the UK from what I read and also from the USA shopping malls.
The technology has not been around long enough to give any long term results, these are just studies done to date.
I would just get additional copies of your level II (20 week) ultrasound, I know it won't be as cool as the 4D, but I guess at this point safer.

i think having a 4D was one of the greatest things that happened to me during pregnancy. I got to see my baby and save her pictures and video on a CD. 4Ds are sooo cool. I suggest you go and have one. You will be assured that your baby is healthy. Make sure though that she is active during the session so you would see her/him sucking and yawning and playing. We had to reschedule the 4D because the baby was asleep, We had to wait till the following day.I thinks it's a great experience for moms to be.

i had one done about 6 weeks ago. it was so neat. the staff was really knowledgeable and pointed out things that i never could have envisioned like hair. lol. we bought the dvd of course and made copies for the grandparents and everyone loved it!! the nurse even said he looked like me but who knows. it was touching for the whole family and made me feel even closer to the baby. definitely cherish the opportunity b/c so many people have told me how 'they never got around to it.' well worth the money.
