If there is any attack on Iran by America or another state it will likely be a covert special operations mission perhaps to fly a UAV over nuclear research facilities and explode a bomb at say, 5,000 ft. so that the EMP will disable all electrical devices in the area.

The reason that Iran is so bold to stand up against world condemnation regarding its enrichment of uranium is because the real power in Iran, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khameini truly believes that he is Allah's representative on Earth to rid the world of fitnah (disbelief in Allah).

On August 22 Ali Larijani, hand delivered Iran's 21-page response to UNSC 1696 the package of incentives to dissuage Iran from uranium enrichment. Iran's top nuclear negotiator said that Tehran was ready to enter "serious negotiations" over its disputed nuclear program but did not say whether it was willing to suspend uranium enrichment — the West's key demand. This was because the West had offered many economic incentives.

What sanctions will be set on August 31 against Iran?

Iran will continue to enrich uranium. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khameini avers that Iran has a right to have nuclear weapons. Leaders of the Iranian hard-line regime, believe they have a direct line to God, and they'll do whatever 'divine inspiration' requires them to do. Talking to them is pointless.

On August 19, Iran launched a large-scale area, sea and ground exercise he maneuver, the Blow of Zolfaghar (the sword used by Imam Ali), which involved 12 divisions, army Chinook helicopters, unmanned planes, parachutists, electronic war units and special forces. Iran's state-run television reported that the new anti-aircraft system was tested "to make Iranian air space unsafe for our enemies."

On Sunday, August 20, in the Kashan desert about 250 kilometers southeast of the capital of Tehran, Iran tested the Saegheh missile which has a range of between 80 to 250 kilometers. Saegheh means lightning in Farsi. (The language of Iran is not Arabic and Iranians are not Arabs.)
Iran's arsenal also contains the Shahab-3 missile, which means "shooting star" in Farsi, and is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. It has a range of more than 2,000 kilometers and can reach Israel and US forces in the Middle East.

Iran's military test-fired a series of missiles during large-scale war games in the Persian Gulf in March and April, including a missile it claimed was not detectable by radar that can use multiple warheads to hit several targets simultaneously.

The Iranian news service Al-Borz, predicted that on the first anniversary of Iranian President Ahmadinejad's government, in late August 2006, Ahmadinejad is expected to announce what the news service called Iran's "nuclear birth."

In addition, an August 23, 2006 article about Iran's reply to the incentives proposal, that was posted on the Iranian Foreign Ministry-affiliated website , implied that Iran's nuclear technology had already reached the point of no return: "...

The following are excerpts from the Al-Borz report:

"It is expected that the first anniversary of the forming of the ninth government will be the date of the Ahmadinejad government's 'nuclear birth.'

"... Together with [the celebration of] the anniversary of the forming of the ninth cabinet, the president of the country [Mahmoud Ahmadinejad] will hold his third press conference... where he will answer questions from journalists from Iran and from abroad.

"In addition to detailing the activities of the government at the end of [its first] year, the head of the government [i.e. Ahmadinejad] will officially present Iran's positions on: economic and cultural matters, the nuclear dossier, the activities of nuclear research centers, and developments in the region."

What is a new clear weapon?
When you do not ask a question carefully how can you ask to answer it carefully?
Any way America dares not attack Iran. Ahmadi Nejad's Iran is far more ferocious than Iraq or Afghanistan.
USA will have to bury their dead soldiers in Iran as taking them home will not be possible.

Iran is "looking for trouble" for a long time.
I think they consider the rest of the world to be weak and indecisive.
I think the Iranians are basically correct in their assessment, but the resentment against them is slowly mounting, and it is public opinion that they should fear, because once the US finds enough justifications and support for attacking Iran they will.

Iran has enriched uranium, low calorie uranium and non-fat uranium.

Iran shouldn't be attacked. Iran should get together with Jane Fonda and make an exercise video. Too many Americans are over-weight.

I am so glad you are 'taking my mentally test on this issue'.

The Iranian people are pretty cool. Too bad they have such a nut for a leader. I would hope they could muster up enough gonads to oust their present government and live in peace. And use their new clear power to run their countries electricity instead of making bombs. I hope the U.S. doesn't have to take them out but if every thing else fails then I hope they do it fast and thoroughly. It seems that Islamic radicals are on a mission to rid the world of anyone who doesn't think or believe as they do. That's just plain nuts. If it comes down to them or us as much as I hate war and killing better them die then us.

I know it is crucial and diplomatic question to answer but I am trying to explain the consequences. UK, USA, France, China and Russia are the important nations directly involed in world peace and eradication of violence against other nations through enrichment of weapons of mass destruction. Increase of weapon power in the middle east will affect the peace of South east Asian Nations, Europe and America.

It is very dangerous, religios nations are possessing such violent arms, which they may used for any country not at all involved in armed race but racial difference. In this condition, Iron has enriched Uranium and ready to develop any number and kinds of nuclear weapon which is great threat to all nations of the world other than muslim nations. Iran is not bound with any internation treaty or commitment but the government has been influenced by Islamic law, which decriminate human race into Muslim and non muslim hence non-muslim nation will have increased its weapon capacity or tried to protect themselves by alienation with other nations who have developed nuclear technology, so new cold war will be started, new league of nations may formed. Iran is unctrollable to any UN or any treaties.

Europe is an essentail supporter to USA to take international decisions, but situation in EU is not supportive to USA's activities in the middle east. USA's important strategy is protecting the people of USA and clearing any threat arise from any nation, it is the only hold to any nation, because USA will not be allowed threaten by others, which means most of the nations are silently expecting USA's action against nuclear enrichment in the Iran. Since, USA is expecting appreciation from all other UN memebr countries, hte action against Iron will be depending upon the number of supporters and their trusting value. If supporters or appreciaters give green signal to USA Iron will be attacked by USA.

If Iran started to produce Nuclewar weapon, China has to increase its weapon size because to maintain its power. It is applicable to all nations, so military spending will increase further and welfare expenditure shrinked or reduced further.

USA dont want to keep its identy as a warriors or the only power of the world, it needs reputation to take any action against criminals of peace.

If you watch only one conspiracy documentary ever, make it this one. This just might be the best introductory video out there. Understand that every claim made in this is fact, not opinion, no matter how wild it sounds. It's all easily verifiable through mainstream news archives and public documents.

NO. Bush and his administration are now puppets of Russia, China, and EU. In order to justify their inactivity they are sticking to diplomatic measures. And you know diplomatic measures mean NO SERIOUS OR WORTHWILE ACTIO. PERIOD.
