1. Lincoln - he managed to save the Union and keep America together even thought there was terrible opposition to the war from the Democratic party of the time

2. Churchill - For the same reasons you already stated

3. Joshua Chamberlain - American Civil War - Little known Union officer, was a professor of History and Rhetoric at a small Maine University before the war. No military training. Hero of Little Round Top. Wounded 5 times during the war. Left for dead on the field once. Won the Medal of Honor. Started the war as a Captain of the 2nd Maine volunteers. Was the General chosen by Grant to accept the surrender of the Confederate forces at Appomattox. Had his command come to attention and salute the Confederate soldiers
to show their respect. Simple move, that may have done more to heal the bitter feelings between the North and South than all the other reconstruction programs.

1.Churchill who stood up against an unbelievable onslaught from the Germans.
2. Alexander Hamilton who was the first Secretary of the Treasury for the United States. He foresaw what the good ole' USA could become and his policies, which helped the merchant class, helped the United States become the powerful nation that it is today. Not bad considering he was an immigrant ******* from some God-Forsaken Carribean Island.
3.Sir Isaac Newton who helped explain gravity and physics and all that other stuff I don't understand, but I know is incredibly important.
