Hi Tuna chunks, this is the Doctor here, That,s a good question. The truth is that at the moment Germany is not the most powerful country in Europe the UK holds that position at the moment but you are right it wont be long before Germany is the number one. History tells us that Germany has always been the number one country not only in Europe but in the world. It,s true that from time to time it,s had a few nutters running it but it,s economic power is unquestionable. When it eventually succeeds it will make Europe the most powerful unit in the world. Can you imagine all the europeon countries that will have nuclear weapons. Countries like America Russia China will all be using the EURO . We will be getting our food from the states our minerals from Russia and most of our goods from China. This is not speculation but hard fact as agreed by most of the top brains in the world. They then agree that the world will settle down to a very long perod of stability

Germany isn't the strongest country in Europe. Economy and power are different things. At the moment the UK is currently the most powerful in Europe, even though it is second to Germany in economic size. It has the worlds strongest currency, while Germany adopted the Euro, and much lower unemployment that Germany. It definitely has more power, with a permanent seat on the UN security council.

Germany having the largest economy in Europe doesn't necessarily make the country most powerful - it just gives the country the potential to be powerful.....

The EU is more powerful than any of its members.
Germany, economically powerful as it may be, is politically and diplomatically constrained by its Nazi guilt.
You really need to go back and study the foundation of NATO, the Council of Europe and the European Communities to see how these organizational structures were established specifically so that there could never be war in Western Europe again. The assumption was that coal and steel (and later atomic energy) would be essential to any war, and if they were multilateralized no war could happen.
The fall of the Iron Curtain changed things to the East.

Germany has good relationships with other countries in EU. We respect them as a country with a great history. They should not feel guilty because of the Nazi history. They realize the consequences of their history, and other countries like (UK, Israel, USA...) should follow them and learn something from them.

Really? Germany? Says who? They've got high unemployment, weak financial standing, and no more political say than France or UK.
