I find this impossible.
If she is awake for 15 hours a day and smokes 10 packs, lets say 20 cigs in a pack, that equals 200 cigs a day.
If you average this out, she smokes 14 cigs an hour, or 1 cig every 4.2 mins, which means she smokes while she is eating/cleaning/showering/putting makeup on/having sex or maybe she does that at night when she stops the smoking to sleep. She obviously isn't working cause you can't smoke at work.
Seriously though, any amount of cigs are bad for you when pregnant, it can lead to death of the baby/abnormalities/cancer and premature birth.

then she should not have a baby. if she is not responsible for herself, she obviously can't take care of a baby. she is abusing your child before it is even born. It will be born w/so many problems.
A woman who smokes while she is pregnant (or who breaths in 2nd hand smoke) has a greater chance of having a premature (early) birth, a small baby, or a stillborn baby. If the mother smokes while pregnant, there is also an increased risk of the baby dying during the first year of life. Some types of birth defects have been linked to the mother’s smoking. Birth defects that may be increased when the mother smokes include: cleft lip, cleft palate, clubfoot, limb defects, some types of heart defects, gastroschisis (an opening in the muscles of the abdomen that allows the intestines to appear outside the body), and imperforate anus (there is no opening from the intestines to the outside of the body to allow stool or gas to be passed).

Well, it sounds like the girl needs help. She should talk to the doctor. It's not fair on the baby to smoke cigarettes during pregnancy. I highly doubt she's smoking 200 cigarettes a day, however.

Even if she smokes 1pck or 10pcks you have to stop her for the baby's health. Bring her to the doctor and tell the doctor about it, let the doctor explain what will happen to the baby in future b'coz of what she did now. She is now 21 yrs old consider she is still young and not realise or concern about the baby's future development. Wake her up!! Unless she don't want or care for the baby at all.. Good Luck to you..

I really don't believe that. Thats to many cigs and baby is going to die. If she smokes 10 cigs a day then the baby should be fine. No worries. but you could just take them from her too. Your not help-less. Come on I am sure you can do that for your baby she might get mad but at least you know your baby is okay. Right?

i believe you're exaggerating a bit...but if she is even smoking one cigarette a week she will severely harm your baby. she needs to go to a doctor and get advice on how she can safely quit without harming the baby in the process

Oh my? Or it should be oh my god? Think about the baby! Don't forget, if your wife has smoked even if she wasn't pregnant, it isn't good for her health too!
