An Example:
Last name = Lee
First name = John
Chinese Name = Jia Yue

How would the name on the identity card be listed?

1) John Lee Jia Yue
2) John Lee
3) John J.Y Lee
4) John Lee (Jia Yue)


I'm not sure which is the norm so if anyone knows .. please tell me. Thanks!

It can be the first one.
Or it could be 'Lee Jia Yue John'.

Depends, either just John Lee or just Jia Yue.

Well, usually a Chinese will choose to use either the English name (John) or Chinese name (Jia Yue) and family name only. At least, among all the Chinese I know, they don't use their English and Chinese at the same time.

Any kind of name in any types the certificate which was in immigrant was produced as same name Then yours would be identified as Jia Yue. Certified name would not be translated they will put as it is.

heres the element.. countless people will see ANY asian and right away think of they're chinese language out of lack of expertise. like the only reported. you all look alike. .. they can't differentiate between the a number of asian cultures like filipinos.. Malaysians.. Thai.. eastern. etc.. so they call all of them chinese language. .. I even have considered it many cases. certainly i'm married to a filipina.. and he or she has had people come as much as her questioning she became into eastern.. chinese language. etc.. .. so it happens.. they see the Asian Almond eye shape and think of chinese language. so its no longer you. its in basic terms their loss of understanding.. they have not any thought that it somewhat bothers asians to all be grouped into one team..

i believe the third one is correct coz i came across someone name similar to that but if u dont mind leaving out ur chinese name then u might consider the second one

THEY ARE CALLED BY THEIR BIRTH NAME...... SOME PEOPLE USE AN ENGLISH VARIENT OF THEIR NAME OF ORIGIN ..THE DECISION TO USE THAT VARIENT IS UP TO THE INDIVIDUAL....
