Something just poped up on my cpu. I didn't get time to read it all before it disappered, it said : Someone is tracking your computer. They now know what sites you have been on what clips you have watched, what stories you have read.... That is all I got before it was gone. Was it the government or just another random pop up ad or a warning from my virus scanner that someone is trying to jack into my computer?

its a spyware.. goverments have anothers way to tell u that :)
its just idiots messages from idiots companies and persons for advartising only, install windows definder from microsoft.com/download
and install definitly any anti-virus

1. Your CPU is not your computer. The CPU is just one part of your computer.
2. This is not a specific person tracking your web surfing habits. It is spyware giving you a random pop up.
3. Download an install Spybot and Adaware. Install, update and run them. You will be free from spyware and intrusive pop ups

hi, other can track your computer with spyware. spyware is a disgusting and infamous virus. perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.
i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

its most likely just some stupid popup... make sure you have at least 2-3 anti spywares installed, up to date, and recently ran..
also, search yahoo for a port scanner (there are free ones) that will check the ports on your computer to tell you if youre secure from people 'hacking' into your computer or not...

I'm sure it is some sleezy Adware program trying to get you to buy some worthless program to remove it. Go here and run the AdAware Anti-Spy program and follow the procedure she describes for best removal.

Its an ad for like spyware or something that will like erase your internet history so no one will find out what novels you've been reading online.

Turn off system restore for a couple seconds,then restart it,to delete your ad spy in your memory.
