First, you might look on the back and see if there is an "S" mintmark just below the "FIVE CENTS". The value is going to depend on the coins condition. If you can read all the lettering, it will grade at least Good. If the tip of the buffalo's horn, his tail where it crosses the high point of his hip, and all the detail in the Indian's hair are clearly visible, it will probably grade Extremely Fine. With the "S" mintmark, in Good condition, my priceguide suggests a retail value of $6.25, and $260.00 in EF. Without the mintmark, those numbers are $1.60 and $13.00.

There were two types minted that year One with out a mint mark and the other with an S. The S would be under the words five cents beneath the buffalo. The 1923-S in high grades is worth some bucks, even in good it is worth 8 dollars or so. The one with out the S is common and worth a few bucks if in good shape. Grading on coins is important as to determine value, so it really needs to be seen, an e mail just will not do with out a scan of it.

Buffalo nickels aren't worth much ( maybe 50 cents) if all of the date isn't visible, unless you have a rare one, I checked the dates listed above, you don't have one.

It would depend entirely on condition and mint. Anywhere from a couple of bucks to 12-1300 dollars.
