Absolutely.

My sister(mechanical engineer) and I (electrical engineer) are both in engineering. We both have experienced hositility and lower pay than the males... separate companies btw.

And sadly both of us experienced it to such an extreme that we made some serious choices. I chose to get out of the field, retire early and write books while she chose to be a consultant where she is her own boss and would not have to deal with the male engineer's hostility.

Believe me, either way is depressing because it is NOT easy to get an engineering degree... only to finish after doing BETTER than most of the men in college then to find you are paid less and treated like ****.

In the UK especially things have changed. There is a gender bias but is now in favour of women. Just ask any man ;-)

If we're talking about discrimination against men, then yes, masses of it, and allways has been.
