You wouldn't think that an interracial couple would garner as much attention in this day and age, would you? But as the vanilla part of a vanilla/chocolate marriage I can assure you that it still does. Sometimes it can be negative, to be sure, but most of the time, I found it to be quite positive. You seem to be wanting validation for your feelings and preferences. No need for that. That you feel them and can identify them to yourself is enough. If any (so-called) friends or even family can't support you in your desire to be part of an interracial couple, that's their problem, not yours. Of course, my advice (like others answering this question) is to find a woman who not only has the packaging that arouses your desire, but also the strengths inside that compliment your own.
Understand that a strong woman is a strong, not only by what she looks like on the outside, and all the implications and stereotypes that go with it, but more so because of who and what she is inside. It takes a strong man of any ethnicity to love a strong woman. Proverbially, black women are very strong women. (I think it's a cultural thing, and my wife agrees.) Ask yourself, do you have the strength to keep it real for her sake? If not, the best ones (and when I say, "best," I am not just talking about the outside!) probably won't have anything to do with you. But that isn't a black thing or a white thing, that's a man/woman thing.
If you can keep it real, then go for it all! Find the right one for you! Remember, you need three things to sustain a healthy relationship - passion, compassion, and friction.
Peace and good luck,
VT

Everyone here has said Do what you want with your life, not what others think.........Man, that is so true. Sounds like your friends and family may be hung up on the race differences but when everything is boiled down its a guy and a girl, nothing more.
I would say, forget about your friends and family. If you want to date a black girl and she agrees, go for it and enjoy yourself and remember like all women they want honesty and respect.
Good luck

Well it's all about what you want. I'm so sick of racial differences it's driving me insane. If you want to date into it, don't look at the "blackness", look at the person. Cuz we black women are well put together...however we are not for the mess. So if you come to a black woman you got to come correct. 4get what your friends and family have to say. You are your own person. Go after what you want. I say experience it, but you might get stuck...once you black you never want to go back!!!!! LOL.

Are you trying to satisfy your friends or yourself? Life is too short live if for yourself! Try dating a black women, there are many black women who date outside of their race.

Does it really matter, why? You just do. What do your friends have to do with who or what you like? It's obviously not about black or whatever. Go do what feels right.
or...
You can keep asking the same question all night... and probably get the same answers over and over.

You know what it doesn't matter. Do what you want and you'll be more happy that you did. If anything show up your friends and eventually they will come around. And as for you're family, they should love you regardless so go get em!

haha.. if you are attracted to them then you should date one! dont be stupid and conform to your "friends" expectations of you.
Why dont you get to know one that you are attracted to and see if you like it. dont be a pansie.. live for you! not other people,
however I will say that choosing someone to date based on their body structure alone is a really really bad way to start a relationship.. its kind of shallow.
good luck

just try one out really quick like to a movie or something no one has to know and if you become closer to her then let people know that you are dating a different race. You don't have to worry about what other people think though

It is no good to date a girl from certain race because you think this race is sexy. You should think of the girl as an individual no matter what her race is.
