i don't know about big bird but few of barney CD's like marvelous manners, exercise n play n mother goose rhymes r good my daughter loves those a lot n she tries to learn many things from those.
but not all CD r good.

He's older and has a whole street he can ask for help if needed.
Barney has to be brought to life and he only has other kids, Baby Bop and that yellow dino to help.

Of course if you are leaving your kids with either of these you need to seek some serious medical attention of the mental kind.
