I agree with the previous answers. If your power supply seems to power other PCs fine, but not yours, then the motherboard of your PC is most likely dead.

One thing you can try is disconnecting everything nonessential from your motherboard and trying again. After such a dramatic power event, it is possible that another component is damaged and/or shorting out, and that is what is causing the power supply to be non-functional.

Still, most likely you will find that the problem is the motherboard itself.

Good luck!

After a blackout, the current that arrives is usually in excess.
Im bettin that there was excess power and because of this, the motherboard was damaged. To verify, just try using a 'known' working power supply on your computer. If it doesnt work then, Im sorry to say this but the motherboard wont be of any use to you. You'll have to buy a new one

With the cooling fan sounding like a airplane is beginning off it must be ether the motherboard or the CPU. If the laptop is decrease than guarantee touch the maker of the laptop. The device battery does no longer consequence the fan and reason the laptop to no longer boot. the device batter is to maintain potential for the BIOS to hold directly to settings. With the device battery does not have adequate potential substitute the battery on the motherboard.

First i would like to know the manufacturer of your power supply . If its a mercury powersupply donot use it on other mother boards as it gets direct without any resistance after it involves in a surge.
The other reason is that your powersupply lacks the volts which is required by your mother board.
Where as it is fullfilling the voltage requirement for other mother boards.
I can bet it will not run on the same mother board brand like yours.
Mother board might be dead coz power supplies are quite smart ;)
Thanks
