Some people cannot be hypnotised, It is likely that you are one of them. In which case I would save your money and look for alternative solutions.

Everyone is different. Different forms of therapy work for different people.
I wonder how long you tried hypnotherapy? For most people, it helps to build a trusting relationship with a therapist over time.
I would suggest you start from scratch. Talk in confidence with close friends, discuss with a good doctor, or write about it, and read about different forms of therapy. Think about what might be best for you. Choose a registered therapist.
A good website is British Association for Counselling - Bacp.co.uk. Tells you briefly about different therapy - cognitive, psychdynamic etc. Lists counsellors and their interests and qualifications.
If in UK - some forms of counselling free on the NHS.
The other thing I would say is that a therapist can only help you if you are ready to help yourslef. Hypnotherapy - and any other form of therapy - is not magic. But it has made a difference to thousands of people.
My own experience is that it is often a combination of things that help - for example, some couselling, some exercise, some creative outlet, and give yourself some time.
Hope this is of help.

Same here, lotsa different factors decide if we are hypnotisable or not, are we relaxed? do we like the person or the voice? do we believe? did any noises disturb u at the time? (all hypnosis is self hypnosis) u could even have a hypnotherapist record the session on tape and hear it as u sleep or as you wake feeling sleepy, we're definitely susceptible then, BUT if like me u tried it all and it never made a difference then just find another way and save your cash, try Yoga for relaxation GOOD LUCK

Sounds like you have a strong mind, you will never be able to be hypnotized by anyone. Try self meditation. Lay down on the bed or couch.Clear your mind, think of a clear lake in the middle of the afternoon, your laying on a raft, no one there but you. Safety is somewhere if you get in danger, but not to worry you won't. Now think of the problem, and tell your self you are relaxed and the pain is easing until it is finally gone. If you keep doing this eventually you will be able to control the problem yourself. Your home should be quiet at the time of doing this. Have soft pan music or lite music on at the time it will help relax. Good luck.
