If you state that, then not only over-masturbation is bad, but also many behaviour is bad for health.

Don't be too dramatic on this issue

Unless you are totally obsessed with masturbation or ignoring other aspects of your life (extremely rare!), I don't think there is any such thing as "over masturbation". Our bodies will usually tell us when we are doing it too much and we just need to take a break for a while. Show me the studies which show masturbation leads to depression like symptoms! People who are already depressed may masturbate more than normal but that's something else...and no big deal if it helps them! This sounds like some of the anti-sex, anti-masturbation nonsense that comes out of the Vatican! Masturbation is completely normal and healthy! Do it as much as you want and ignore what the up tight religious zealots tell you. No guilt trips for me, thank you!

Just like anything else, people can develop a psychological dependence. on the other hand, most people can masturbate regularly without it being pathological.

Care should be taken if somebody is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, but aside from that, there really isnt a problem with it.
