one them has only ethernet card and other one has cd-rom drive , is it possible to boot a computer using network ?

Well, network installation is only chapter 1 of any Windows course, so, yes it is possible. It does not, however, sound as if you have a correctly configured network. You neglect to specify which computer has an ethernet card, where the network share for installing the OS is, and other information, such as which OS you are going to install.

Hello,
It is NOT possible to transfer an OS from one machine to another via a network. Have you thought of taking the CD-Rom drive out of the 1 machine and just add it to the other temporarily?

Yes, it is possible, but yhe compuer must support boot from LAN. Check the setup of the PC to see if LAN is among the boot options.
