Growing up in a small NH town, I was exposed to many seriously dangerous things. One of them was a Saturday Matinee Double Feature at our local hellhole, I mean movie theater. The bill was "The Christmas that Almost Wasn't" and "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians". Both not even a little bit entertaining.
I too own the MST3K episode which has "SCCtM", and watch it only occasionally. Droppo the Martain is the only actor I would have considered stalking and killing, his acting is so bad. I recommend only the MST3K episode if you insist on seeing this movie.
Did I like the movie? No. It was childish, stupid, the characters were caricatures and it features the dumbest looking polar bear suit known to exist on Earth. And the Robot? I made a better robot suit when I was 5, out of cardboard boxes and an old paint can. No I did not like this movie. I even wanted to poke out SANTA'S eyes after his 17th "Ho Ho Ho"! Also, a WHOLE lot of imagination went into naming the two Martian children. Their names were Boymar and Girlmar. Whoa!! And no Nobel Prize for Literature? The Martians receive Earth TV broadcasts but all they watch are terrible kid's shows. No News, no televised Senate hearings of the day, etc. Did I mention how much I hate Droppo?
Damn. Talking about it is making me want to see the MST3K episode again. Joel and the bots tear the heck out this movie, it's hilarious.

Yes I've seen it and I own The Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode of it and if you want to see the film I suggest you watch the MST3K version because without them riffing on it. I think it would be a very horrible movie to sit through.
