I HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM!my roommate is disgusting. she leaves her bloody dried up tampons around the room?

yuck. ive told her about her hygiene issue but she simply keeps doing it. what should i do?? i cant take it anymore!

I had a roommate in college like that! I remember garbage just pouring out of her room. If she's leaving things like in her own room, you can just shut the door. I used to try to embarrass her by showing everyone her room that came over. When things were left out side of her room I would take them and leave them on her pillow. I'm sure she wouldnt like tampons on her pillow. Start taking her garbage and dirty dishes, put them in bags and leave those on her bed too. Hopefully you can get another roommate soon, people like that can change a little, but not much unless they really want to. It sounds like she doesnt want to change.

Do you live in a boarding school or university dorm? If so, you may be in luck. You should have an "RA" in charge of your floor or whole building so go to him/her and tell them you need a chage of roommates or at least for her to lay down the law. If it doesnt work, then talk to the housing office. If they dont listen, then get your parents involved talking to the administration. You dont pay all that money to be unhappy.
If you are an adult and live on your own, its important to know whose name is on the lease and what your rights are as a renter. So call your local housing office look it up on the yellow pages). They will have info. as to whether you have the legal right to give her notice to move out, how many days, or if you can break the lease, etc... You dont want to run into any legal problems or ruin your credit by kicking her out or breaking the lease. And when interviewing for your new roommate make sure you make it clear what your rules not only on hygene are but in general and that RESPECT and CONSIDERATION are a MUST! Good luck. I had to live with a PIG myself during freshman year, there was a serious housing shortage, my parents lived 2,000 miles away and nowhere else to go, and it was no fun. Thats downright disgusting! Id tell her off so badly she would be ashamed to look me in the face. Do that and tell her that you want her to move out if there is another one in the room instead of down the toilet. What happens if you have a visitor? it will be a bad reflection on you.

that is disgusting. I would personally warn her one more time and if she still refuse to clear up her dirty habit I would chuck her out. that is plain laziness and very unhygienic. if she had a boyfriend I would totally embarrass her in front of him and friends that would get a result either she would start to dispose of them like she should or she would move out. unfortunately some people have bad habits but Ive not heard this one before. good luck. I certainly would not clean up after her.

That is horrid!! Doesn't she know she is supposed to flush them instead of leaving them lying around. I think you should tell her very firmly that if she does not stop doing this, she will have to move out, and if she does it again, tell her to get out, now.
