that depends on how many goats, diet, if you intend to supplement grazing , zoning laws and also area humane society "laws" so call the local humane center, farm vet, or ask the reputable breeder that i hope you are buying from, they should be able to give you answers to any and all of your questions. if you plan on having it as a pet then a polled bottlefed is the best one to get, specially if you have children.

It really depends. I've seen some that have VERY LITTLE space and go out with their owner for walks everyday. They should have enough room to run around and play and exercise.

If you have enough room for them to graze then go for it. If it is too big they tend to stay where it is most familar. So too much room is wasted sometimes.

It also depends on how many goats you will get and what laws apply to your area. Some laws are weird so look into it and goats are considered livestock, so there may be rules against having just livestock.
