When the word chauvinist pig comes to mind I think of people who rape younger girls just cause they want sex, or even men who rape girls in general. A guy who veiws a woman as an object to fullfil his needs, someone who wants to own women, the men who don't appreciate what we do for them, men who beat their girls because they think they are more powerful. Men like that I think are classified as chauvinist pigs.

Without bringing race into the argument, this term is used to describe a male who does not respect a female for who she is or what she stands for. Personally, I accept the role of women in every arena of endeavour.
There are certain people throughout history who could be held accountable for the ways women are treated or mistreated in today's society.
Chivalry isn't dead, its on life support.

hah, check this out:
i assume that you are familiar with the term "hysterectomy"? do you know where the name comes from?
in ancient greece, the ovaries were thought to cause "hysteria", or altered mental states, in women. if a woman was acting too emotional, it was because her ovaries were acting up. to alleviate this problem, her ovaries were removed. hence the suffix -ectomy, which means removal of. this was supposed to allow her to act like a normal person again.
also, women were not allowed in schools and the like, because it was thought that knowledge would cause the ovaries to grow, and cause the woman to become more emotional and etc.
