I would definitely go with the Honda Accord, hands down! Although both Toyota and Honda rank very high with respect to the quality of their vehicles, the Accord would outdo the Corrola. If you fail to realize this, a lot more people own older models of the Accord than the Corrola. Owning an Accord myself, it is a very good and reliable car (if you take care of it, that is). In my opinion, you would be better off with the Accord.

Both are solid cars, and could very well go another 100K if you take care of it. Aside from aesthetics and engine size, see how they run. Is there any knocking or slightly louder than usual ticking sounds. (those little engines have a kind of tick to them anyway, but really listen) Automatic? Standard? Pay attention to how it shifts. Or...How does the clutch feel? loose.. almost sloppy? After a test drive, check for leaks underneath and orund the block. How well was it maintained? How many owners? Does the owner have documented records of maintenance?
Any car with that much wear under its hood is going to cost you something down the road. Even if it's a smoking deal, keep in mind what it may cost and what it's worth. Those little Japanese honeys are not necessarily cheap to fix.
Alot more questions than just which is better. Think about it.
Even if it comes from a dealership. Don't just trust that they gave it it's 6 billion point inspection, and fixed every bit of it. I've spent alot of time at all kinds of dealerships and with wholesalers. Tricky biz.
Nissan of that age or even newer would let you down. Charley's wrong.

Generaly speaking they both good cars. Toyota is known for going and going. Check their mileages, service history, condition of their bodies engine etc. Consider getting something newer to.
