from your experience as busboy, what are the responsiblities of busboy, besides clearing and setting tables. does he have more responsibilities than the waiter? does he need to scrub the toilet, take out the garbage? does he make minimum wage? also, how satisfied were you as busboy? did you stay long? i'm applying for the bus position, so i want to be ready.

depends on the place. i have worked where i just cleaned and reset the tables, i also have worked where i cleaned the restrooms, did washed, dried and folded the linens as well as helped the servers run their food.
i worked in one place where all i was suposed to do was clean and reset tables, but if i had time, i would either help the servers, or do it on my own, their sidework which was check the condiments, fill the coffee grinders, wipe the menus etc.
i always made minimum wage plus tips, and the more you do for the servers, usually the more they tip. when i say i made minimum wage, i made the federal minimum wage, not the minimum wage that the servers were paid, as like their guests, tipping the busser wasnt mandatory.

the responsibilities vary by place, but they include the things you talk about like setting and clearing, water and bread, typically they dont do things like restrooms, they make more than min wage, they may also run food and help out with whatever the wait staff or kitchen tells them. at many places, the wait staff give a portion of their tips to the bus staff

All I did was clear tables and set them up again. I didn't stay long.

I got fired for wiping a nickel into the dish tray.

i'm a busser, too. that is through fact the waiters activity is so lots extra good. you may desire to keep in mind the full menu, handle the chefs, understand the wine, and handle annoyed clientele. Plus, they'd desire to offer area of their information to the Host, too.
