I offered to coach my young neighbour in his English and math and we had our first class yesterday. But now I don't want to help him anymore, 'cos I was doing it for the money and now I realized I don't need the extra money. How do I tell the mother that I can't teach him anymore? What would be the best excuse?
Please help!

i think you should stick with it not only because of an emergency but because you made a commitment to this little kid and his family and now all of a sudden you can't because you realized you don't need xtra money i think that is wrong on your part

Tell her that some sudden but urgent engagement has cropped so you will not be able to continue with the classes though you would have loved it.

I think you should stick with it. You never know when an emergency will arise and you might need that extra money.

Well you taught for the some subject and he passed not for your teaching for your affection you have given to him. Give affection get a fees or don't get a fees.

This is what you do, tell him that you dont think you are qualified to be a tutor and refer them to a real tutor
