I been into romantic movies lately, like the ones that will make you tear up. Some of the ones i have watched and liked are
The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, 50 first dates, You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, Click ( even though not love movie, made me tear up a lil), and im about to watch Pride and Prejudice and Elizabethtown.
If anyone can recommend some really good sappy love movie i would appreciate it, but nothing that is too old please, maybe in movies within the past 20 years or so. Thank you all

Believe it or not, SPANGLISH with Adam Sandler, even though not a typical romance with the usual happy ending, is sappy, sweet and wonderful. Kind of restores ones faith in what a real marriage is all about. If you like bittersweet, see BEYOND BORDERS. My all-time favorite is the 1976 version of THE GOODBYE GIRL. Its an oldie but the superb acting makes it a goodie.

If you want some really old movies, how about "An affair to remember' of "Somewhere in time". Then there is "Yentl" which is a bit of a deep one. Go back 50 or 60 years and you will find lots of romance films with the original great actors.

Some which I would recommend:
1) Love Letter (A Japanese movie. Bitter-sweet)
2) Be With You (Another Japanese movie. I loved the twist at the end. Teared buckets.)
3) City of Angels (Dunno why but I've watched this 3 times on VCD and still very touched by it.)
4) Moulin Rouge
5) Fever Pitch

Some good one that I have are
Notting Hill
Circle of Friends (older it has Chris ODonnell and Minnie Driver)
Under the Tuscan Sun
Sabrina (this has two versions one with Humphry Bogart and Audrey Hepburn and one with Harrison Ford, I like Harrison Ford Best)
Message in a Bottle,, If you like to cry
Alex and Emma is kind of cute
To get a really good romance movie you really have to go back to older films. Now you tend to find romantic comedies. they have to much emphasis on jokes and conflict in the film rather than creating romance
go back to Humphry Bogart and Casablanca and start there

I'd suggest you to watch While You Were Sleeping starring by Sandra Bullock & Bill Pullman. (Since you like You've Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle)

It is too bad that you don't want old movies, as most romantic/love movies made in Hollywood for the past 20 years pretty much SUCKED. I guess you will have to go with foreign films to find good romantic movies.
My sassy girl (Korean movie), Il Mare (Korean movie, Lake House is based on this, this is much superior), Love in the Ruins (Hong Kong movie), Ashes of time (Hong Kong movie), Anna Magdelena (Hong Kong movie), Lost and Found (Hong Kong movie), Red (French movie).
