I think once you have paid your debt to society, it should be onward and upward. Unfortunately, employers don't necessarily see it that way. I would recommend you start a home business and build it as quickly as you can. By doing this, you do not have to answer to anyone about your past, and you are starting with a clean slate. I teach people how to do this every day, and if you are dedicated and determined, you can earn a great deal of money more than you ever can working for a wage. Once your business is built and you are earning residual income, you can concentrate your efforts wherever you like, you have the financial freedom then to make decisions based on your interests rather than your needs.
Something to consider.

yes, but with peoples predjustices it may take another ten years to find someone to hire you.

Also depends on the felony. If its something heinous like a sex offense or murder, truthfully your gonna find it really hard to get employment, especially in a "white collar" field, and even more so if there are females at that job. Even if men do the hiring, they would be extremely leary hiring a violent offender, especially around women.

I am sure you will be able to find a job. Just be honest about your conviction. Keep trying. You will eventually find someone who will give you a chance. Good luck to you.
