Technically it's free. You just need to go up to them or call them to make an appointment. Just ask for a makeover. Sometimes they can do it right on the spot for you if they have time.
But you'll be pressured to buy their products. It's possible and okay, however, to walk away afterwards without buying anything. You just need to tell them "I'll have to walk around and see how I feel" or "I'll think about this."
If you feel too pressured and feel that you have to buy SOMETHING, you can always buy a product and return it later.

The way to approach them is to tell them that you have heard about their products and you want to try them out before you purchase them. Depending on who you get there and whether they are in the mood to do it for you, you can get a makeover. However, it is best that you buy at least something from them, unless, they will be really pissed.

it's free, but they sort of expect you to buy some of the products that they use on you. just say something like, "i'm trying to make-over my whole look, can you guys help me find a new foundation, blush, etc..." definitely don't bail on them without buying anything. if you're tight on cash, buy the least expensive thing. don't tell them that though, say you're in LOVE with that $20 eyeliner, and don't like the $30 blush as much.
hope all goes well!

I remember asking them and i think it's 10 pounds, which is odd because they are usually free. I think that they probably have better trained makeup artists and stuff. You might be expected to buy something as well.
