Yes it could be but the only way to transfer it is if the plant oil is still on the skin. Try washing the area with mild soap and warm water or an over the counter wash made for poison ivy exposure then keep an eye on it for a larger reaction. If it gets worse call your vet.Good luck.

Skin irritation could be any number of things and poison ivy is a possibility (and yes, the oils can be transferred to people). Depending on the location and symptoms of the skin irritation, it could also be caused by mange, insect bites, sunburn or an allergic reaction to something piggy came into contact with (perhaps a new lotion or soap?). Dippity is even a possibility, if you're noticing blisters along the spine.

I would gently rinse the area with cool water and give your vet or a local breeder a call. Describe the symptoms and see what they think. If the irritation persists or gets worse, it's time for a trip to the vet. Good luck!

skin on a pig is very senitive so I guess a pig could get it and yes if the pig brushed against you and some of the fluid from one of the sores got on you. but if it is poison ivy I do not know if it is like small pimple in a row I would say yes dry ivy medizine works great!
