There is no question that ghosts exist, however, there is no true understanding of what ghosts *are* or where they came from.
Are ghosts autonoumous and capable of moving around, making decisions, responding intelligently? I don't think so.
Are ghosts the "souls" of dead people? I don't think so.
Are ghosts some kind of energy phenomenon that manifest as echoes of living beings since past, and though spontaneous and random appear to be responding to physical stimulation? I think this is closer to it.
Could the above be true and in addition these phenomena react somehow to forms of human energy that we do not yet understand, and in doing so appear to be responding directly to humans? For example, appear when somone is very emotional due to the energy that is radiated? I think this is very likely.
I have experienced “ghosts” firsthand and while it was as scary as hell, it was more like watching scary special effects than it was watching (and hearing) an actual being.
I have never spoke to, heard or read anyone credible who had true duplex/back-and-forth correspondence with a “ghost” that would provide evidence that it was some form of intelligent being.

yes I do. I work in a 28 story building, and it is said that there has been some deaths there. Well a couple of friends and I went to this floor where it is not being occupied. We walked the whole floor and waited for something to happen. We heard the stories from the security guards,so we wanted to check it out ourselves. Well it did feel creepy and seemed like someone was watching us. It was getting close to midnight and there was still no action. We were standing around in silent, when some lights turned off just on the other side of the office. Then at around midnight, we hear ladies footsteps(heels) walking back and forth. As if she were walking from one desk to another. We were really freaked out. No one was on the floor above us, and besides all the floors have carpeting and you can not hear the footsteps from above. We were sooo scared, we couldn't even move to walk to the elevator, because that is where the footsteps were heard. Apparently some lady died in the parking garage from a heart attack, and the floor we went to, is where she worked.

before i dont believe in ghosts but after an encounter w/ 1 then i believe they exist

there is not ghost. at the point view of phylosophy followlng words are equivalent : conscience,sence,thought, ghost and all of them are reflection real world in my brain.
