TV isn't bad for you its the content of what is on that is bad for you, some people watch so called reality TV and soap opera's, this cannot be good for anybody and I guess would cause a high suicide rate among hospital patients

Cheers

Actually, they DON'T have TVs in hospital rooms. It's a concession by a private firm, and you must contract for it on a daily basis separately from your room stay. It's not covered by insurance, either.

And it IS bad for you, too; I don't own one!!!

TV's bad if you watch too much..bad for your eyes and development. but they put one in hospital rooms for the patients to relax, for them to have something to see when they are bored. its purely for relaxation and not actually wanting them to get addicted to it.

2 TVs per room if you share.
Can't be that bad.

to keep your mind off the catheter they are shoving into your private area....or the enema they are administering....or the extremely large needle they want to shove into your tiny little vein....shoot if you think about it you need something to keep your mind off the fact that you are in the hospital period and that you are away from your loved ones and friends.....if you are in the hospital usually its not for something pleasant....am I right or wrong ??

It's there to make you worse. After all, they are in a business to make money so why not prolong your stay.
