you're gonna get mad at me for this.... cause I can't play guitar
but I can play piano!!!!! It's a string instrument that you can rock on, so I figured I'll answer this question anyway. My favorite song to play on my piano is Brick by Ben Folds Five.
I did play the beginning to Seven-Nation Army by the White Stripes on my dad's guitar once, though.

Mostly, I like just going on a free flow kind of jam. Ill crank up the amp, throw in the distortion, and let er rip from there. I'll just improv for however long I want, until I stop getting ideas, then I'll write them all down, and then take a break.
Right now, the main songs Im working on are Symphony Of Destruction(mainly the solo part), and Pull Me Under. I want to do covers of those some time soon.
