It depends on what you are trying to purchase all items that are imported to Gabon are priced a little higher than US. All indigenous items are much cheaper

Where is "here"? One cannot compare if one does not know where you are currently. However, I would think that if you would like to buy imported items (which would be most stuff, except vegetables and fruit), it would be more expensive. However the value/strength of your currency will most probably make it not be too expensive for you.

if you will only eat potatoes and drink only water, it will be very cheap
