Maybe he's actually bi. Which would be just fine. It's okay if he doesn't look at women all the time, as long as he likes *her*.
But if he keeps saying he's gay, he really shouldn't string her along, and she needs to start finding some men who will appreciate her. She can't change him.

Sounds like he has feelings for her -- at least attracted to her. This is more common than some gay men would care to let on, from what I'm gathering. I would not worry about this, they are grown consenting adults, right? Let her think what she wants - she's pursuing the other holy grail, changing a gay man straight. Wish her the best, she's having fun, let her enjoy. And bring her plenty of condoms -- no condoms without sex (oral and otherwise).

can you make it rain every day if you like rain? i can't. he just kisses to have someone to kiss. showers don't matter. i have showered with a straight female friend. we also go out together when her bf is working or whatever. she knows i am gay and i know she is straight. just a very close friendship. you cannot change a person's sexuality. it is not choice like some people say it is. it is natural. if he sends mixed signals, he can't cope with his sexuality. no remedy or drug can "fix" it. as of 1973, sexual orientation has not been considered a sickness or mental illness. we are not crazy like some say.

He may be a bisexual.Or he may be a flirt.Maybe he is just experimenting.Sexuality can't be changed when a person knows what they want and what they are attracted to.But maybe he isn't sure of his sexuality.Or maybe he is and this is just for fun.I had a friend who is very much gay but still liked to mess around with girls for fun.he never got any sexual arousal. He just did it because he enjoyed making his friends happy.I know that sounds strange. But so is life.

My sister-in-law has a gay male as her dearest friend. They share many interests, activities and philosophical moments. But she is resigned and accepting of the fact that he is gay. She has no idea to change him.
Your sister had better have no illusions about "changing him". But I also find puzzling this behavior of making out and sharing showers. Is he truly gay? Bisexual? Manipulative? Acting pliable to entice her? I see a lot of warning flags here until your sister (and you) know him better and can judge his persona and motivations.

I think she just needs to talk to him - tell him how she feels. Gay or not, there is love there and she needs to let him know so that she can move on and so that she knows exactly where the relationship can/cannot go. Time will tell when this happens...

Strange & Beautiful,
I've heard worse than that!
I once heard of a guy that was having sex . . . . . . . . . . . . . .with his DOG!
He is bi. Yes, she sounds . . . . hey, you know what. I think that there is a thing with that. I had a roomate that was attracted to a gay guy. Only, he was really gay. No matter how many time she had him sleep in her bed, there would be no . . .you know, much to her disappointment.

Yes, she's hopeless and setting herself up for a really bad heartbreak.
You cannot "change" a gay man/lesbian any more than you can "change" someone's natural eye color.
