For the most part, most women drop an egg 14 days from the first day of your period. You could try doing the Basal thermometer method which essentially is tracking your temperature every morning BEFORE you get out of bed while still lying there deciding whether to get up or not. You have to do it in that still state to get the accurate reading. You chart it faithfully and on the day (14th as stated above) your temperature goes up just a hair (1-2 degrees) thats the day your ovulating. Then you go for it and after the act, you put your hips up on a stack of pillows (the higher the better) and lay there for about 45 minutes or an hour - longer the better.
You pray a lot and if you still have no luck there's always the Reproductive Centers in your area who specialize in helping women conceive.
Don't be fooled by the UIU (whatever that is) I, myself, had an IUI which is an intra-uterine insemination. What is that you say?
Well its this procedure where you wait until the day your ovulating, after taking reproductive hormones which turn you into a moody monster, then you take your husband's sperm in a container where you keep it warm no matter what. You rush it down to the Center to have whats called a "sperm bath" it's about $100 (13 yrs ago who knows now) where they separate the sperm from the semen. After they finish that (usually about an hour) you rush back to the Center where a nurse will kindly set you up for the procedure.
The Procedure: They stick a catheter up inside of you into your uterus......ouch yes.......then they takek those now washed pure sperm puppies and shoot them right up in there. There you will lay (after asking the nurse 'was it as good for you as it was for me' least thats what I told her LOL) with your hips up as high as they can put them for about an hour. Then you go on your merry way hoping and praying that you will conceive.
WORD OF CAUTION: when they say they will have to give it a few tries before you actually conceive and carry to term they don't tell you that YOU MIGHT ACTUALLY GET PREGNANT EVERY TIME AND LOSE THE FETUS!
That was the worst part of it all. I had the procedure done 3 times, lost the first two which they did not prepare me for in the least, and finally after 5 years, countless amounts of money, I had a very healthy baby boy who got all 10's on his APGARS, the first in the hospital to do so!
He's now 13 and a wonderful amazing intelligent young man whom I am so very proud of.
Of course, when the Reproductive Specialist tries to tell you you are infertile and it can't happen again, you let your guard down.
I am now the Mother of two boys, one six year old who has taken the Reproductive Specialists words of wisdom and thrown them out the door!!!
So just when you think its safe to go out into the kitchen, watch out because the bathroom is closer and when your pregnant your gonna spend a lot of time in there puking your guts out! hahaha no really good luck in your efforts only go into everything with an open mind and a hard hold onto your heart because when it come down to it, every one of those pregnancies I had were babies I should be holding now.
............think about it................

Actually to much sex or I should say having sex to often can cause a problem in conceiving. If you really want to conceive you should by a fertility test. Do not have sex for about a week before your peak fertility, and you will have a better chance of getting pregnant.

here are some methods to predict ovulation:
Calendar (rhythm) method. For the calendar method, you estimate ovulation based on a record of your previous menstrual cycles. From the record, you predict which days of the month you are most fertile. Your fertile days start 5 days before ovulation. This method assumes that your cycle is regular and that you will ovulate on a certain day of the month. However, very few women actually have regular 28-day cycles, and even those who do can have irregular periods from time to time. Also, a woman does not always ovulate right in the middle of her cycle. The best estimate is that ovulation occurs between 9 and 17 days before the next period. Therefore, use of the calendar method alone is not recommended as a method of birth control.
Basal body temperature (BBT) method. Basal body temperature (BBT) is the lowest body temperature a healthy person achieves during a day. Because of the natural changes that occur in a woman's hormone levels during her menstrual cycle, her BBT falls 1 to 2 days before ovulation and rises 1 to 2 days after ovulation. By carefully measuring and charting your BBT every morning before you get out of bed, you may be able to estimate the time of ovulation.
Cervical mucus method (Billings method). The amount, texture, and appearance of mucus produced by your cervix changes during your menstrual cycle. By observing, feeling, and recording the nature of the mucus over several cycles, you may be able to predict when ovulation occurs.
Right after the menstrual period, cervical mucus is sparse, thick, cloudy, and slightly sticky.
Just before and during ovulation, the amount of mucus increases and it becomes elastic and stretchy, slippery, thin, and clear.
Hormone monitoring. Home ovulation kits are available without a prescription to help you identify the most fertile days during your menstrual cycle. These tests measure the presence of luteinizing hormones in your urine with a dipstick or test strip; then, on a small computerized monitor, they provide information about your fertility level. Although expensive, these monitors tend to predict ovulation better than the BBT or cervical mucus methods.
Combined (symptothermal) method. This approach combines several methods of monitoring your body's changes during your menstrual cycle, such as measuring your basal body temperature, observing the changes in your cervical mucus, hormone monitoring, and watching for signs of ovulation (such as breast tenderness, abdominal pain, and mood changes). Predicting the timing of your ovulation is most successful when using all fertility awareness methods combined with physical signs of ovulation.
Why It Is Done
Fertility awareness is done to help a woman determine when she is likely to ovulate. This information can help a woman:
Become pregnant. Pregnancy is most likely to occur when sexual intercourse occurs close to the time of ovulation.
by the methods that will indicate ovulation.
MOST DOCTORS WANT YOU TO TRY FOR A YEAR TO GET PREGNANT BEFORE TESTING AND CHOOSING OTHER OPTIONS.

It is true the more your partner ejaculates the more his sperm count lowers. I agree that you should try a ovulation kit. and only have sex when you are ovulating and if masturbates i would advise he stops because he is only lowering your chances .
