your milk has the antibodies to fight diseases like ruebella, mumps, measles and others. that is why you breast feed until the baby is 6 months old when he or she gets their shots. Cows milk is to harsh after it has been pasterized in the plant. Your milk has a lot more nutrients to make your baby very healthy.

You can feed your baby cow's milk, and lots of people do. Look at all the parents of overweight kids who did!! Think about it: cow's milk is designed to make a small animal very, very big very quickly— which is probably not something you want to happen to your own offspring.
Your own milk is the best for your baby. It hasn't been pasterized (cooked) or had the nutrients removed from it, it provides immunity via the collostrum, and hopefully, it isn't tainted with Bovine Growth Hormone (although if you eat a lot of non-organic dairy products, it probably is).

Basically because we are not cows! So we are not really in tune with cow's milk. Each animal's milk is perfectly tuned to what that animal needs out of life - from the familiar cow's milk aimed at the cow and the cow's environment through to the milk of the arctic and Antarctic seals that is almost all fat to help them cope with the cold. Human milk is therefore designed to give the human body what it needs.
It is not a coincidence that cow's milk is one of the biggest allergens in the world. It is intended for cows and humans can have a hard time with it.

Baby humans are not baby cows!
Each species make milk for their babies, not share with other babies!
Baby cows have to gain weight fast for energy & survival in the wild so cows milk is very high in fat.
Baby humans are taken care of & held by adult humans so their milk doesn't have so much fat in it since the young babies use less energy compared to baby cows.
I'm sure there has to be a PBS show about this, Look it up.

Cows milk is perfect for baby cows. Human milk is perfect for baby humans. Children under one year can not digest cows milk well (the protein molecules are too big). That's why if you don't breast feed you need to feed formula.

Yep, midwife is correct, the proteins are harder for newborns to digest, and the first person was right too, cow milk is for cows human milk for humans. Also the colostrum is the most beneficial part of any milk for any baby, be it (the baby) cow or human.

Cow's milk is low in iron - iron is crucial for the development of baby's brain and they absorb a lot from breastmilk. Cow's milk also contains a protein to which many babies are allergic, so you should not give your baby cow's milk until he's at least a year old.

Because cow's milk is made for baby COWS and breastmilk is made for baby HUMANS.
Because babies can't digest cow's milk. Because it can cause intestinal bleeding in a young baby.
Because breastmilk contains all kinds of nutrients and immunities which babies need that cow's milk does NOT contain.

It is very difficult for a human infant to digest cow's milk, it contains certain antibodies designed for a newborn calf, not a human child, while a human mother's milk is made just for her baby and is easy to digest, plus it's the healthiest way to feed our babies, antibodies in human milk prevent many infections, colds, flu and other early infancy illness.

cow's milk is hard to digest and can cause serious pain for the baby and can make them sick...even though cow's milk is in formula it's been broken down so it's easier to digest and there are added ingredients to make it as close to breastmilk as possible
your breastmilk is made just for your baby and changes as your baby grows giving them exactly what they need at each stage of growth
even with cows the milk they produce after giving birth is different from the milk they make for us....their milk is perfect for their calf....the milk we get from cows are from cows that strictly for producing milk....the milk we buy has been pasturized and that is not good for baby
breast is best for babies
