The first link below will be free programs to rid yourself of those "Viruses and SpyWare"

The second link will Walk you step by step on how to set your IE settings to keep more bad things from installing.

To answer your Question. AVG, Will protect your pc from Viruses. Ad-Aware, Will rid your PC of SpyWare Programs.

Virus is a Program that causes damage to your computer files.

SpyWare, are programs that Collect data of what you do online and send that information to the company that placed it on your PC.

Trojans, are programs that hackers place on your computer so they can gain access to your files.

Any one of those listed above, you can get just by being connected to the internet.. ( You dont even have to have a browser open to "catch them"..

The TechGUY is a great site for getting free help.. Just make a login so you can make a post. Describe your problem and someone will be along to help... When posting dont forget to include what OS your running, Amd what version of IE you have.

(IE Version, open a IE and click help, click "About Internet Explorer"

To determine what your system specs are, Right click My computer and select properties.

For even more system specs,
Click Start Run, Type DXDIAG and press enter. This page tells you a lot...
(you can also click the far right tab, and then the second option from the bottom, for even more detailed specs.

Trojan horses are installed to your PC automatically by Malware sites, such as www.crackware.com or other such sites.. Get Lavasoft Ad-Ware Profesn'l version installed & Also get a Good virus and make it run Real-time in the background. I would reccomend Mcafee 2006...

By having trojan horses in your PC, hackers will be able to control or access your PC at any time remotely..
