o Jr should not have been fined. NASCAR made the right decision. What happened at the end of the race was just that...
RACING. Edwards was fined for what he did....during the caution. He went into the pit area, argued with officials to black flag Jr. When they wouldn't do it....He went BACK out on the track and ran into Jr. while he had his hand out of the window.
NO ONE IS DOING DEFENSIVE DRIVING WHEN THE RACE IS OVER OR DURING A CAUTION.
Carl was being irresponsible and childish.
He's lucky (so is Dale Jr.) that he didn't cut Jr's hand off.
(what would be the fine for that? I wonder..........).
Then....what's the deal with him going to Victory Lane? He wanted to be in the spot light I guess..Thing about that is:
Victory Lane is for WINNERS. MEN THAT KNOW HOW TO RACE LIKE MEN ! Not little boys that want to fight when things don't go their way. (WOMEN TOO WHERE APPLICABLE)

EDDIE HASKEL OF NASCAR GOT WHAT HE DESERVED..
HE REALLY DESERVED MORE.
MAYBE SITTING OUT A RACE OR TWO AND SOME POINTS DEDUCTED. AND HOW ABOUT SOME "ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASSES"?

A $20,000 fine is "pocket change" to these guys. They can do what they want and just pay a fine. WRONG !!!

HIT EM WHERE IT HURTS...POINTS...OR SITTING OUT A COUPLE RACES.

This is just my "humble opinion".
God Bless

GO.....CHEVY RACING......

Nobody really knows what really happened to start the incident. Some say Jr. came down into Edwards, others say Edwards was already loose when the two got together. But that is not why Edwards got fined, he got fined for his behavior after the incident occured. He took retaliation against Jr. by running into him a few laps later. In NASCAR retaliation is not allowed, that is why Edwards got fined.

Jr. was racing. He was following Edwards, who checked up or let off of it. If it was you behind a car on the road who all of a sudden took a dive in speed, would you have been able to avoid hitting them? I highly doubt it. The fine wasn't for what happened on the track, it was for what happened afterwards. Edwards is getting to be too much of an idiot and he could've really hurt someone after the race. Was it really necessary to act like a child? They talk about road rage on the highway. I think it is worse on the track and some of these drivers need to be taught what a car/helmet/cone or other racing items are for---racing, and not using them to go after another driver. That is not professional nor is it necessary. I used to think Edwards was pretty cool, but he is just being an a**hole.

Jr. didn't cause that situation. Good hard racing caused that situation. I truly don't think there is anybody that can be blamed. If anything, Carl is the one that checked up and didn't get back to the gas quick enough. When they are racing for the win like that, you expect the guy in front of you to GO, which Carl didn't.

I am not a Jr. fan by any means, but I will side with him on this one. He was racing hard and clean. Carl's bobble started the whole thing.

I think they saw the end of the Busch race as a " Just racing" deal. But Carl's actions after the race were bad. I think Nascar made the right choice.

Jr, was just racng and if Edwards cant get up to speed fast enough that's not Jr's problem and they really should of fined Edwards more and taken all the points he got in that race.

Edwards was fined for running into a car on the race track after the finish of the race. THAT'S JUST OUTRIGHT DANGEROUS!! AND STUPID!! when the race is over the drivers start to loosen their belts and safety gear and someone could get hurt. what if some other card would have gotten involved that was not part of the whole mess. How fair would it have been for someone else to get hurt over Carl's stupidity!!

no, jr was racing! nascar determined it to be just racing and alot of other people seem to agree...and not just his fans. it wouldn't have been such a big deal if carl edwards didn't act like an idiot afterwards. like kenny wallace said on raceday sunday, take lessons from Dale Sr. wait a few races before you go after someone not 5 secs later.

edwards is becoming a real jerk!

I think they both should have been fined. Carl for his behavior in the winners circle and Jr for his actions on the track. This is not the first Jr has done this.

Nothing happend during the race except for pure old fashioned racing. It was what happened AFTER the race was over that caused Edwards to get his third grade *** fined. For the last few weeks he has continued to make himself look like a complete idiot!
