A lot of major league managers have their little pets on the team and the fact the players make much more money then the manager it's tough to make a player such as izinghausen or an a-rod sit on the bench for a few weeks.

I have the same concern with Torre and the yanks. He will keep jeter or a-rod in the same batting order even when they are 0-19 instead of mixing it up a little bit. The longer the manager stays with the team the more of a friendship he develops with the player sometimes making a decision based on friendship rather then ability.

I was at the game last night and Shea was really hopping. What a special night.

It looked to me like Looper had better momentum than Izzy had. But that's easy to say in retrospect. Chris Duncan made a beautiful catch in left field in the first inning and Albert is just amazing.

The Mets never gave up. That's what's so great about this team. Carlos and Carlos got the job done.
