Depends on whether they are a friend or known acquaintance, if so you dab it away and say nothing except perhaps surruptitiously taking a step backwards - the person responsible should be apologising anyway.

If the person is unknown to you prior to this meeting then by all means (a) step back, (b) wipe your face or mouth with a handkerchief at the same time making a point of doing so. Again the person responsible should equally have noticed and again should apologise providing they have the good manners to do so.

It depends on who it is...If it's a friend, I'm making a big scene because I'm a drama queen...If it's someone I don't know, I will just let it sit there and later kind of wipe it off. It's happened before...A homeless man was talking to me and he spit while he was talking and it landed on my lip and later I told my partner (i'm a cop) and he said it was like he french kissed me...
Once in high school, I threw a piece of gum at a friend while she was across the room talking and it landed in her mouth (no sh*t) and she started chewing and talking and then realized that she wasn't originally chewing gum....I almost peed in my pants it was so funny.

If its by accident then let it go, just stand back further from them when they speak. Some people have a habit that when they speak spit showers from their mouths, it can't be helped.

Well, if it's an accident it's probably best to ignore it.

If they notice they did and apologize then laugh it off.

If they are yelling at you and spit on you deliberately, hand out as many hooks and uppercuts as you possibly can in a short amount of time.

Lol, I have had this happen to me before. First, I stepped back! Like ugh, and then of course I wiped my face off and then I politely told them. We just laughed at it, he apologized for it, it was a accident, so just let it go, but I would tell them also, that way maybe they will learn to contain themselves.

Sorry about thaat..it seems this person is either too close in space to you or to loud..move back claim your own space and ignore it because they may just be an excitable character..or an actor that needs the stage,smile..don't say anything people are ignorant to their shortcomings and won't change easily it's really up to us to adjust to our level of discomfort

i would definitively take like huge steps back... just kiddin...
if it's just an accident and it happened just that time, i would ignore it but wipe it off discretly...
if it's still an accident but happen more than once, then i'll make sure not to be in front of that person when he/she talks...
if it's in my mouth, oh disgustin! i will definitively tell that person (politely of course), unless it's my luv...

if it was an accident...then id just take a stand back and watch it...and depending on how bad it was or how much you got annoyed, tell the person to watch out

Back up, don't stand so close to them. If they then get close to you again, put a hand out and keep them at arm's length, with a smile. Tell them you are not used to very close distance.
