yes I think 19 is too young...its not as easy as it seems. I have a 1 year old and she is hard to keep up with. Babies can't be returned or traded in if you don't like them or get tired of them,,,they are a full time job. You should wait till you have a college degree, a decent steady job and a husband before even think about having a kid. Having a kid can be expencive with diapers/wipes formula clothes ect.... It's not easy being a mom but it's very rewarding.

That depends on the person and what they are willing to give up. I had my daughter at 17. I gave up everything to raise her and don't regret it at all. But at the same time I wouldn't recommend it either.

It's a struggle to have a child so young. Your friends go out and you can't because you don't have the money to hire a babysitter and/or go out. You hear about all the fun vacations, like spring break trips, but can't go. By the time you can, your too old to go on spring break. Basically, you miss out on everything that a 19 year old normally does for fun.

Caring for a baby is tough work. It's a 24/7 job. Even when you are not there you worry about how your baby is and feel guilty for not being there.

I think right after you turn 18 and get out of highschool you grow up so much, but not enough for a baby. I had a miscairage in march, im 19 not married no career and not mentally and physically ready for a baby. Babys are at least $300 when there babys thats just for formula, diapers, cheaper clothes. Then when they get older forget aobut it. Your kid is going to cost $500 a month. Dont you want to have everything for your baby? When he/she is old enough to join a sport how can you pay for that?
Go on birthcontrol then 2 yrs from now think about it

I think it depends on your situation. If you are married or have a very stable relationship then yes. If you are trying to trap a boy or fill some void then no. As long as you're over the age of 18 and you feel that you are ready for the responsiblity of a child. You have to be finacially stable and emotionally stable. Have the baby because its what YOU want to do, not because some guy told you that he wanted you to have his baby in the middle of passionate sex. Just be sure because there is no going back. Stay smart and strong girl and you'll be ok. At the end of day it's really your opinion that matters.

my cousin is 19 and has just had her first child. she is in a steady relationship and the three of them live together. both my cousin and her boyfriend have good carriers and once the baby is 1yrs old my cousin is going to train to be a mid - wife. having a baby won't take over your life as long as you know you are ready for a child to come into your life. it is a lot of hard work but if a baby is what you really want you will probably see it as an enjoyment rather than a chore to look after your child. good luck with your decision.

yes it is. A baby comes with big responsibilities & lots of personal sacrifices. Are you financially stable? Babies are expensive to raise. Are you emotionally stable? You have to be able to know your priorities. Are you willing to give up your night life with friends to babysit? There are a hundred more questions which you will know when you actually have a baby. But for now, at 19, I think you better finish school, find a good paying job and reach for your dreams.

I think the stage of life is more important then your age, though the two are often linked.

Having a baby is an incredibly hard yet rewarding experience. But it absorbs all of your life. All of it. When you have a young baby, if you are alone, you will have trouble finding enough time in the day for yourself to use the toilet. That's how much of your life is going to be absorbed.

19 is definitely too young to have a baby. To have a baby, you should be mentally matured enough and bringing up an infant needs lot of emotional strength.

Better think twice to have a baby at this age. You need lot of support and physical strength too.

Not really, Your old enough to work, and drive and pay bills and you are a legal adult I dont see a problem with it as long as you have stability in your life for you and your child!!!
Honestly though Id wait because you should really go out and enjoy your life, I was 21 when I got pregnant which is a good age, but I also missed out on alot of things, I dont regret it at all I love my son who is now 11 but I wish I was just alittle older at 21 I was mature but also immature

Its totaly up to you and Godd luck in whatever decison you make
