That's true, you can watch them from their website. I wish more shows would catch on and let us watch online. You can go to www.cbs.com and watch shows like Big Brother if you missed an episode.

YES! The technology known as "place-shifting" (as opposed to time-shifting like TiVo) allows you to watch YOUR television signal using the internet from anywhere in the world. The most popular product and one that I have experience with is Slingbox. Slingbox works by simply hooking up your cable signal (and even your TiVo!) to its roughly 10x4 inch long box and then continuing that signal to your TV. The box is also connected to your router. When watching TV at home, you would never know it is even hooked up. But once you get on your computer, the software locates your IP signal and takes control of the TV, TiVo, and even DVD player and simply sends the video signal over the internet to your computer.
